INTERDISCIPLINARY WORK

FOLLOWING A QUESTION ACROSS DISCIPLINES.

Psychology is my starting point for understanding human judgment. Law, intellectual property and institutional practice have helped me explore how those judgments connect to authorship, responsibility and decisions in the real world.

AI & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

WHO OWNS WHAT AN AI CREATES?

During my AI & IP research internship at Chugh LLP, I co-authored a five-page article with the firm’s founder and Managing Partner, Navneet Chugh.

Titled “Navigating the Complexities of Intellectual Property in the Age of AI: Ownership and Legal Challenges,” the article examines AI-generated content, human contribution, authorship, inventorship, copyright and ownership across jurisdictions.

The work helped me explore how legal systems approach questions of creativity and responsibility when AI contributes to the production of content.

AI GOVERNANCE & INSTITUTIONAL DECISION-MAKING

HOW DOES AI INFLUENCE HUMAN JUDGMENT INSIDE ORGANISATIONS?

FROM DISCUSSION TO PRACTITIONER CONTEXT

During my Human Judgment & AI internship at GeneralCounsel360, I explored how AI recommendations can influence human judgment, responsibility and decision-making within institutions.

On 30 July 2026, I conceived, organised and moderated a 90-minute interdisciplinary academic–industry roundtable, “When AI Enters the Room: Human Judgment, Responsibility, and Institutional Behaviour.”

On 10 September 2026, I presented “When AI Makes the Decision” at the Privacy Decision Forum – India 2026, discussing these questions with legal, privacy, governance and data practitioners.

These experiences helped me examine how psychological questions about judgment and authority connect with professional responsibility and institutional practice.

WHAT I LEARNED ACROSS DISCIPLINES

Psychology helps me examine how people judge and defer. Intellectual property raises questions about human contribution and ownership. Practitioner dialogue shows how questions of judgment and responsibility arise within institutions.

Moving between these perspectives has taught me to look beyond the technology itself and examine the people, rules and environments that shape how it is used.
